Prof. Gail S. Goodman, Director of the Psychology Department and Director of the Center for Public Policy Research is at the University of California Davis. She is widely acclaimed as a pioneer in the field of witness testimony by children and the eyewitness memory within legal contexts. Prof. Goodman has published extensively she has received grants from numerous sources and been recognized with numerous national and international awards. She has provided advice on policy and research for numerous government agencies and departments around the globe. She is an expert consultant to the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) of the Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a member of several professional associations including that of Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Goodman is a fellow of the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children and also the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was president of American Psychological Association Divisions for Policy for Children and Families and Practice Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology.
